Tyler Mrak Paralympic Swimmer

Tyler Mrak led the Kamloops Classic Swimming club at the 2017 Speedo Can-Am Para-Swimming Championships on the weekend, capturing six medals at the Windsor, Ont. meet.

Mrak, who doubles as a member of the Thompson Rivers WolfPack, won gold medals in the 100-metre breaststroke and 400m freestyle, silver medals in the 200m individual medley, 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly and a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke. His time in the 100m backstroke was a new Canadian record in the S13 category.

Cameron Chambers also competed for the Classics in Windsor, hitting the pool in the S14 category. He finished fifth in the 50m and 100m freestyles, ninth in the 200m IM, 11th in the 100m backstroke and 12th in the 200m freestyle.
